Obsidian Atelier accepts a limited number of vehicle commissions each year.

Our work is focused on creating vehicles of exceptional finish and presence — projects where craftsmanship, design and execution matter more than speed or volume. Each commission is approached as an individual build, developed in close collaboration with the client.

From subtle refinements to full transformations, every project receives the same level of precision and attention to detail that defines the atelier.

All paintwork is executed using professional refinishing systems and meticulous preparation methods to achieve exceptional depth, clarity and durability.

 

Our Approach

True quality begins long before paint is applied.

Panels are corrected and refined using traditional straight-edge and spline techniques to ensure surfaces are geometrically true before refinishing begins. We prioritise panel accuracy and minimal filler use, producing finishes that hold their integrity under both light and scrutiny.

Every stage of preparation, paint application and finishing is carried out to a standard suitable for show vehicles and collector cars.

 

Commission Process

1 — Initial Enquiry

Contact us with details of your vehicle and the scope of work you are considering.

2 — Consultation

We discuss design direction, colour concepts, finish level and timeline.

3 — Project Proposal

A detailed scope of work and estimated cost is provided.

4 — Commission Acceptance

Projects are scheduled once a deposit is received.

5 — Build & Refinishing

Your vehicle progresses through preparation, paint and finishing stages with regular updates.

To maintain the quality of our work, we accept only a small number of commissions at any given time.
